Gayle Fidler is a writer and researcher from North East England. She lives with her husband and their collection of antique taxidermy. Gayles’ specialist areas of interest are folklore and western esoteric tradition.

Gayle writes both fiction and non- fiction. She is a regular contributor to both online and printed paranormal magazines.
In her professional career, Gayle has co-authored several academic peer reviewed articles.

Gayle also writes short fiction with a dark twist. She has been published in several anthologies.

In 2022 alongside a group of researchers from the Centre for Fortean Zoology (CFZ) and Lancashire Anomalous Phenomena Investigation Society (LAPIS), Gayle and her husband Ben, set off on what was supposed to be a one-off adventure to the Isle of Man. The aim was to investigate the case of Gef the Talking Mongoose. This turned into an annual pilgrimage of weirdness and synchronicity. The journey continues to get stranger with no end in sight.
